REFUND & CANCELLATION

A fair process when
plans change.

Effective 19 August 2026 · Applies to purchases made directly through Mathav.

Important: students receive a free preview before purchase. A change-of-mind refund may be requested within seven calendar days only while no paid test, paid question, solution, or other paid material has been opened.

Eligible requests

  • Unused purchase: request cancellation within seven calendar days of payment, provided no paid content has been opened or attempted.
  • Duplicate charge: the verified duplicate amount will be refunded in full.
  • Paid but not activated: Mathav will first try to restore access. If confirmed access cannot be provided within two business days, you may choose a full refund.
  • Material technical failure: if a Mathav-controlled defect prevents substantial use and is not corrected within a reasonable time, an appropriate full or proportionate refund may be offered.
  • Service withdrawal: if Mathav permanently withdraws a paid service before the promised access period ends, the unused portion will be refunded or a reasonable replacement offered with your agreement.

Normally not eligible

  • Change-of-mind requests after paid material has been opened, downloaded where permitted, or a paid test has started.
  • Dissatisfaction with a score, rank, examination result, difficulty level, or personal study outcome.
  • Problems caused only by an unsupported device, the student’s internet connection, shared credentials, policy violations, or failure to use the service during the access period.
  • Requests concerning purchases made through another seller; those must follow that seller’s process.

These exclusions do not limit remedies required by applicable consumer law or cases where the service was materially misdescribed or not supplied.

How to request

Use the channel published on the Contact & Grievance page. Include the account email, payment/order ID, payment date, amount, reason, and helpful screenshots. Never send an OTP, UPI PIN, CVV, complete card number, banking password, or account password.

Review timeline

Mathav aims to acknowledge a complete request within 48 hours and resolve it within seven business days where no additional investigation is needed. Complex grievances will be addressed within the period required by applicable law. Requests may be paused while essential payment evidence or provider confirmation is awaited.

Payment-provider timing

Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Mathav will initiate the refund promptly, but the bank or payment network controls when it appears. Normal Razorpay refunds commonly take approximately five to seven business days after processing; a pending refund should be tracked using its provider reference. Provider timelines may change.

Access after refund

When a full refund, chargeback, or payment reversal is confirmed, the associated test-series entitlement is revoked. For a partial refund, Mathav will explain any resulting access change before processing it. Coupon discounts are not returned as cash and an expired coupon need not be reinstated.

Failed or cancelled payments

A failed or cancelled checkout normally does not create access. If money is debited but the portal shows no captured payment, wait for the bank’s automatic reversal period and report the transaction if it remains unresolved. Do not make repeated payments without checking the portal and bank status.

Disputes

Please contact Mathav first so the payment and access records can be investigated. This does not remove your right to approach the payment provider, bank, competent consumer commission, or another lawful grievance forum.
